ChatGPT currently supports MCP connectors only with their web client.

ChatGPT (web client only)

Currently, MCP support in ChatGPT is in beta and is only supported by enabling Developer Mode in the ChatGPT web client. OpenAI has announced that this will emerge from beta in the next 1-2 months.

Steps:

  1. Open ChatGPT settings

  2. Enable developer mode: Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → Developer mode. Switch to on.

  3. In the Settings → Apps & Connectors tab, next to Enabled apps & connectors, click the Create button**.**

  4. Enter the following:

    1. Name: Kendall - <Your Store Name> ****e.g. Kendall - Maelove Store
    2. Go to the Store Settings page in the Kendall app. At the bottom you’ll find MCP Server in the AI section. Copy the entire URL. Paste the URL in the MCP Server URL field.
    3. Authentication: No Authentication. (Don’t worry! Your data is only available to someone who knows your unique MCP Server URL, which is only accessible within your Kendall account.)
    4. Check the “I understand and want to continue” and click Create
    5. After a few seconds, you should see the new Kendall connector in the list of Enabled Apps & Connectors. To verify it was added successfully, you should see the Connected on with today’s date and a list of Actions below, similar to this:

  5. Create a New Chat. When asking a question, click the + button, select More.. and then select the Kendall connector your created in step 4.

  1. You should now see the Kendall connector appear in your prompt, like below. Try asking How are my new customer sales today versus yesterday?
